About Me
Rozana Piper
I’ve been passionate about fashion, especially fashion jewellery, from a young age. My journey started with working with coloured beads, making my first collections of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. As I grew more focused on refining my designs, my love for contemporary jewellery deepened, which led me to study jewellery design at ICS Escola de Arte e 3D in São Paulo, Brazil.
I learned the fundamentals of jewellery-making at the Vannetta Seecharran Jewellery School in Hatton Garden. Eager to expand my knowledge, I studied gemology at the Gemological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), the world’s longest-established institution for gem and jewellery education. In 2019, I refined my design skills at Central Saint Martins and earned a Jewellery Certificate from Morley College.
Currently, I’m pursuing a BA in Jewellery Design at the British Academy of Jewellery in collaboration with Kingston University, continuing to grow my skills and passion for the craft.
I hail from the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where my deep connection to spirituality and mindfulness began. Nature has always been a powerful source of inspiration for me, and I feel a strong bond with the Earth, the Sun, the Moon, rivers, mountains, and forests. Many of my pieces are named after these elements, reflecting the profound influence nature has on my work.
My jewellery is designed to access the connection that I have when I am in contact with nature. With this connection I feel the process of my energy regenerating. Giving me vitality, intuition and more sensibility to understand my emotions. All of which reflect on the power that my jewellery has to communicate positively.
I hand craft all my pieces in London in the U.k. Many are complete one of a kind designs due to the unique process, although some creations can be replicated. From 100% recycled gold, recycled sterling silver, precious gemstones. Mainly rough stones. Using a hammer, articulate and molten techniques. Adding to the metal lumps, bumps, folds, curves, and scars. Leading to a unique and organic interpretation of my personal style. A style that I call “perfectly imperfect jewellery.” I believe: “ perfection is unattainable, we all have flaws in our being, and this is what make us unique. Jewellery is my passion and is also the my greatest form of self-expression.
